The 2009 Connectivity Scorecard doubles its scope
When the first Connectivity Scorecard was launched a year ago, it sparked great interest among politicians and industry leaders. The groundbreaking study presented a tangible way of measuring the impact of useful connectivity.
In this video, Kalyan Dasgupta, Managing Consultant at LECG, explains how the scope of the new 2009 Connectivity Scorecard has doubled, from 25 to 50 countries. The number of innovation-driven countries included in the study has increased from 16 to 25, while an additional 16 resource and efficiency-driven countries has been added to last year's 9 countries.
Taking some 30 parameters into consideration, the Connectivity Scorecard analyzes the extent to which people, governments and enterprises put available communication technology to economically productive use. New data sources and new indicators have been added to the 2009 study, giving even deeper insights into how technology contributes to the prosperity of the world.
The Connectivity Scorecard was created by Leonard Waverman, Fellow of the London Business School, Dean of the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary, and director of economic consulting firm LECG.
